GP Partner

Dr Hill has been a GP in Crawley since 2004. She previously held NHS leadership roles both locally in Crawley and in wider West Sussex 2012-2021 and nationally for the Clinical Commissioners (NHSCC) 2017-2020. Dr Hill has particular interest in neurodiversity and dementia and is the Safeguarding lead for adults for the surgery.

“In my home life i am married, we have 3 wonderful human children and 3 canine ones who keep us busy. If i am not at work or at home you will find me in my garden. I love to be outside amongst nature and pottering around my plants.”

Julia Billington

Advanced Clinical Practitioner

Julia is an experienced nurse practitioner, who has the skills and knowledge to examine, assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe and make referrals for patients with undiagnosed problems. She is a clinical teacher. Julia holds the accolade of Queens nurse. Her special interests are respiratory medicine and women’s health including fitting ring pessary’s, coils and the contraceptive implant.

Mel has worked as a Practice Nurse since 2017 before this she was a District nurse. Mel has a passion for diabetes but is also trained in other areas for example asthma , cervical screening ,travel health and immunisations , she has a passion for teaching students and improving patient care and outcomes.

Marian started with us in March 2022. Marian worked as a hospital nurse for 20 years and finally moved into Primary care in 2006. Marian has interests in Asthma, COPD and diabetes, and does childhood and adult vaccinations.

Ayeasha joined us in December 2014 as a Receptionist. However, Ayeasha has been a Nurse since 2023 and works in all aspects of chronic disease management and has interests in diabetes management, asthma/COPD and childhood immunisations.

 Doreen trained as a Nurse in 1989 and worked on a Gynaecology ward and was a District nurse. Doreen obtained her specialist Nurse degree in 2016 and is a nurse prescriber. Doreen has interests in respiratory and learning disability care.

I work as a musculoskeletal specialist at Southgate Medical Practice. My role here is to be the first point of contact for patients presenting with a bone, joint or muscular condition. I am able to help, diagnose and work together with the patient to formulate a management plan. This may involve some advice on self management, a referral to physiotherapy or to a variety of other services where applicable. I work at the surgery on Tuesdays.
